Parental split often causes the serious dilemma for children to decide upon their loyalty with one of their parents. However, in long run, it is good in the sense that they get the more focused attention of one of the parents which earlier was not possible due to internal conflicts and clashes. Parents after divorce often focused their attention on the well being of their children. The end of a cold war between parents provides them with an opportunity to revisit their commitment with children.

They had always been aware of the fact that their mutual disagreement is causing trouble to their children and after divorce, they try to compensate their mistakes and lack of attention towards children. Even if one of them has to forego is possession of children he usually keeps a close watch on the well being of children and ensures that the custodian of the children is not neglecting them. This level of care was not available to children before divorce because at that time focal point was the dispute.

No doubt, children have to face an initial phase of distress because of the split and lose of one of the parents but it helps them to understand the bitter realities of life and to live with these realities. Secondly, they learn their lessons from the splits and its ramifications. This learning is good for their own lives and helps them is making better and improved decisions. In most cases, the divorce makes children more serious and they usually behave in a stable manner when faced with other challenges of their life.
