In this context, a revolution was constituted soon after the inception of nuclear weapons in their warfare. Comparatively, the use of nuclear weapons is deemed to impose brutal and more destructive effects in nature than any other war weapon roughout the centuries. Periodic historical observations have consequently set out clear reflections regarding the most controversial and consequential war decisions taken in modern warfare, indicative of the use of atomic nuclear weapons on the two major Japanese cities - Hiroshima and Nagasaki in the year 1945. From the worldview, the nuclear weapons dropped by the American Air Force Bombers on respectively 6th and 9thAugust 1945 had been considered as the most destructive and consequential events in modern warfare history.

With an in-depth understanding about the adverse and most devastative effects of nuclear weapons, the primary aim of this essay is to deliver a clear reflection on the short and long-term impacts of the nuclear bombing in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. In this regard, the primary research question of this study has been formulated as - “What were the grounds that caused the nuclear attack on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, and what were the consequences witnessed thereafter?”
