It focuses on the impact of technology in the country’s industry. The article states that the Canada Tourism Commission brought in the expertise, in technology, and went on to create a website that people can access to gain information of the current trends in the industry, the website known as Explore Canada as a Local can be accessed using smart phones by people who are constantly on the move (Belopotsky, 2011).

Analysis The article explains that the residents of Canada post the most attractive sites in the country and thus, when tourists get into the country, all they do is browse the website for the most recommended destination. The recommendations filtered depending on the cultural activities that will be taking place at the time or by the physical attractiveness of a chosen location. The article is beneficial as it offers an in depth explanation of this, in a clear and concise language that is easily understood.

The article claims that the tourism commission intends for tourists, to discover new areas that they can also post on the website then save in the archives as reference for other visitors intending to tour the country. For ease in location finding and communication with people outside the current location of the tourist, there is the foursquare application in the website’s database. If one does not intend to use the website to an extended manner, the Canadian Tourism Commission praised in the article when stated that it also has a number of itineraries that the tourists can put into use. They are truly imperative in that they assist in discovering fancy hotels in the country and hotel selection depending on the type of food desired (Belopotsky, 2011). However, the article states that the only disadvantage of the mobile application is that it cannot be used to make live streams of events and photos cannot be uploaded directly by the tourists.
