Extract of sample "Objective of Economic and Social Entrepreneurship"

This influenced my vision of developing an academic base that can establish my economic and social entrepreneurship for reaching out and helping the needy population segment to find safe alternatives to solving their problems. I was in my seventh year of elementary school and even I was young, I had developed a level of sensitivity to my environment. I was aware of social gaps and some of the need that exists within each social class. Of my particular interest was the poor class as I always had compassion for them.

Seeing someone in the street, begging for money, or knowing that one of my friends lacked a basic need touched me and I always ask for money from home so that I could help such people. One of my classmates was facing the most challenging moment of his life. His dad had been arrested for being in the country illegally and this put all of his family at risk of deportation, or at least of worse economic condition as they had been when his father could help in providing for the family. He liked the environment than his native home but was uncertain of his future.

His mother had also resorted to restrained movement to avoid possible identification and a similar case as that of her husband and my friend had to assume an active role of looking for money that could sustain his mother, his younger sibling, and himself. He shared with me as a friend and because he had noted my compassion and he believed that like myself, my parents could be passionate to offer them a temporary help like an informal job for his mother or himself. I agreed to seek help from my parents but what touched me the most was the level of suffering that some people undergo sacrifices that they can make to overcome their conditions.

Poor economic backgrounds force people to risk their lives across borders in order to seek greener, and yet risky, potentials in other countries. I recognized the need for efforts to educate such people on safer ways to solve their problems and to empower them on strategies for resolving their problems. I also realized that I could play an active role in the lives of these people if I establish myself as with financial resources and a social status that can influence other stakeholders into supporting my objectives.

The academic pursuit for the professional establishment and economic stability was my identified initial goal towards my long-term objective of economic and social entrepreneurship for the empowerment of disadvantaged population segments and is my motivation into the application.
