Extract of sample "What Is Art to Me"

There is only one word that I can employ which would describe my reaction to each of the conservation articles I read. Usually, for me the conservation of things makes me think of recycling plastics or cans. Here, the notion was brought to life. It is easy to imagine the Chinese man who once owned the belt buckle. It is this desire to recapture the past which makes conservation almost an art within itself. Moreover, the science of preservation allows us to marvel at the original elements that were used by the original artists.

I don’t mind admitting that the plastics part of the website was jarring. I am not sure if it is because the models are so lifelike or because I don’t have a particular interest in this type of art. I suspect that it is because I don’t have a particular interest. Art to me is something that inspires imagination. Looking at a body, real or not to me is not inspirational. I actually thought that the piece was disgusting.
