Reason for becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner Reason for becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner Health is important to every human being and is an essential component in life. Health officers play a big role in the community to ensure that everybody has access to health care and thus increasing life expectancy and reducing mortality rates. The family Nurse practitioner profession has an aim of taking care of the society in terms of maintaining individual health and thus promoting the community healthy.

Due to the increasing numbers in population of people and complexity of health care, many people have opted for family nurse practitioners for their primary needs and hence the profession has become more popular and its importance emphasized in order to cope with the situation. A report by the world health organization showed that the number of Family Nurse Practitioner worldwide is far much below the expected number and hence a course worth study(Baly, 2007, p.16).Becoming a family Nurse practitioner has been my passion since the early days of my life and I appreciate the role they play in the community.

Family Nurse Practitioners are involved in taking care of patients and helping them recover from acute and chronic illnesses at their homes a position, I really admire. I like taking the initiative of helping the community and hence family nursing profession is the place I should be since it will give me an opportunity to serve the community by providing health care as low as at the family level. I am a good communicator and I believe this will help me fit into the role of educating the community on good health practices and good recovery processes.

The course will educate me on the methods of controlling epidemics in the community and controlling disease breakouts and this will help me in protecting the community from being wiped out by such emergenciesRepresenting other people is my passion and I have earlier on been involved in representing people on different forums. The masters program will give me the chance to become the representative of the medical sector in the community. The profession will enable me to interact with the community and improve their health by implementing the knowledge and skills I will have earned.

I love educating people on issues that can help improve them and the degree I gave already pursed has helped me a lot in this. Pursuing masters in the Family Nurse Practitioner course will create a higher platform for me to educate the community on the ways of living with diseases, recovering from illness and preventing themselves from contracting diseases(Baly, 2007, p.45). During my degree program, I have participated in counseling patients and more education on family nursing will give me an opportunity to educate the community and help them recover from psychological stresses and social problems besides their illnessesI have always been an agent of change in any environment I am in and the opportunity of being a family nurse practitioner will help me change the devastating state in the medical field.

A family nurse is the person the front line in bringing positive change since in most cases they nurse the patients from childhood to adulthood. The course will increase my knowledge and I will educate the community on avoidable health situations. I believe I have the leadership skills required by family nurses in attainment of the goals set by the health department. I am a researcher by nature and since the dynamic world requires more research on family nursing, studying the course will be very appropriate for me.

I will carry out researches to treat and prevent diseases that affect the community as a whole and thus benefit the community and country.I hope that my request will be considered and that I will get the chance to realize my family nursing dream as well as serve the community by providing them with good healthcare.BibliographyBaly, M. E. 2007. Family Nursing.
