The treatment of cancer has evolved over time, from the use of natural methods of cure to more advanced methods.

Cancer stem cells lead to the presence of the disease (Richards 195). There are stages in which the disease passes through which determines the form of treatment a cancer patient can opt for in the long run. Chemotherapy usually tries to eliminate these cells from the body in order for the individual to survive for a longer period. Cell biology is affected by cancer since it becomes difficult for a person’s body to carry out normal biological functions.

The treatment of cancer is an important research topic because as the treatment aims to eliminate cancer cells, it does not struggle to find the source. The chief sources of cancer stem cells can cause a recurrence of the disease. That is why there are many cases of cancer patients saying their cancer returns after some time. (Richards 215).
